    To commemorate the 100th anniversary of regaining independence, Peter Heterington will speak about some Poland’s decisive contributions to Western Civilization and abount Jozef Piłsudski’s role in Polish and European history.

    John Hittinger, Professor at University of St. Thomas-Houston and Robert Rusiecki, Consul General of Poland invite you to the lecture on Monday, November 12th, at 7:00 pm, at  Ahern Room, Crooker Center, University of St Thomas.

    Peter Hetherington is the author of Unvanquished: Joseph Pilsudski, Resurrected Poland and the Struggle for Eastern Europe, winner of the 2012 Independent Book Publishers Association’s Ben Franklin Award in history. In Unvanquished, Hetherington follows Pilsudski’s ascension from underground freedom fighter to leader of the resurrected Polish state after World War I.
